Hit the Ground Running

I'm Happy to announce that I have FINALLY started a Facebook page for my business. I know I know, that should've been like the FIRST thing I did, but I'll be honest... I couldn't figure out how to do it. My website was easier.

It's a very anxious feeling, putting something out there to be seen when it's still only in its baby stages. That's really why it took me so long to get it done, I kept thinking I had to make it look better before it was ready for the world to see. But that attitude was making me a MAJOR hypocrite. As a dance teacher we have events where we encourage our students to participate for a couple reasons- to put some pressure on them with a deadline so they'll get better faster AND most importantly to give them more confidence. It's a scary thought, getting out on the floor for people to watch you dance. REALLY scary. Most of my students feel that they need more time to get better, that they aren't ready for something like that. But let's face it, you will NEVER feel ready. And those dance events as well as my website, this blog and my facebook page are not the end result. They are the journey. It's not that my facebook page isn't ready for the world to see it, it's that I'M not ready for the world to see it. But if I don't take the leap now then I will ALWAYS feel that way.

Here's a shot of our love child. Mike gave this to me for Valentine's one year while were still dating and it's grown to insane proportions. I'm having a ball playing around with pictures taken with my iPhone and some editing apps.
